Beware of Fake “Diabetes Cure” Scams Using Prof. Tim Noakes’ Name

It started with a worried email. Someone had just spent their hard-earned money on a product they believed was endorsed by Prof. Tim Noakes, a so-called miracle “diabetes cure.” They had seen his photo, even a video clip, claiming that he personally recommended a blend of exotic extracts. The promise was bold: reverse diabetes in just 14 days.

But there was only one problem: none of it was real.

Prof. Noakes has never promoted miracle cures, quick-fix remedies, or unverified supplements. These online adverts are fraudulent scams designed to trick vulnerable people into handing over their money, and sometimes even their personal information. What began as clever marketing manipulation has grown into a wave of phishing schemes that we are now urgently warning our community about.

How the Scam Works

These scammers are clever. They take genuine images or videos of Prof. Noakes, cut and edit them, and insert misleading claims. They often include fake testimonials, pressure tactics (“limited stock, act now!”), and requests for payment in foreign currency through suspicious sites.

They rely on one thing: people’s hope for a quick, easy cure.

If You’ve Already Been Caught

Sadly, some people in our community have already been targeted. If this has happened to you, here’s what you need to do immediately:

  • Stop contact with the seller or website ,don’t reply to emails or messages.
  • Contact your bank or payment provider, report the fraud, and ask if they can block or reverse the payment.
  • Change your passwords if you gave away banking or email login details.
  • Report the scam to your country’s consumer fraud hotline or protection authority.

Protecting Yourself Going Forward

The truth is, if something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Science doesn’t work in miracles; it works in evidence. Prof. Noakes’ life’s work has been about asking better questions, challenging flawed nutrition advice, and empowering people through knowledge, not gimmicks.

Why This Matters

Scams like these don’t just steal money. They exploit hope. They take advantage of people who are desperate for answers and leave them worse off, financially, emotionally, and sometimes even medically. We cannot stay silent when Prof. Noakes’ name and reputation, built over decades of research and courage, are being used to mislead vulnerable people. More importantly, we cannot allow our community to be taken in by empty promises.

The Bottom Line

Prof. Noakes will never endorse “magic pills” or overnight cures. The path to health is real food, evidence-based science, and sustainable lifestyle changes. That’s the message we stand for, and that’s what we will continue to share.

If you ever come across one of these adverts, or worse, if you’ve been caught by one, please reach out. We are here to help.
