Welcoming Our Newest Ambassador: Meet Brandon Fowler

Imagine spending your days driving thousands of miles across America, with long hours behind the wheel, limited access to nutritious food, and a lifestyle that makes looking after your health feel almost impossible. For many truck drivers, this is simply part of the job.

For Brandon Fowler, it nearly cost him his life.

Based in Texas, USA, Brandon has spent close to a decade as a full-time over-the-road truck driver, transporting freight across the country. When he first entered the industry, he was considered healthy. But it didn’t take long for the realities of life on the road to catch up with him.

His weight climbed to 300 pounds (136 kg), his health rapidly declined, and he reached a point where he genuinely feared he would die alone on the road, far away from his family and friends.

That fear became the turning point.

Determined to take back control of his health, Brandon immersed himself in learning everything he could about nutrition and human physiology. Instead of accepting that poor health was simply part of being a truck driver, he questioned everything he thought he knew.

The results were life-changing.

In just four months, Brandon lost an incredible 100 pounds (45 kg). More importantly, he regained his health, his confidence, and a new purpose. His transformation didn’t go unnoticed. While engaging in online discussions about nutrition, a health coach recognized his passion and encouraged him to pursue coaching professionally.

That single conversation opened an entirely new chapter in Brandon’s life.

Today, Brandon is a Certified Nutritional Health and Wellness Coach, has completed multiple Nutrition Network courses, and is dedicated to helping others—particularly those working in the transportation industry- discover that better health is possible, even while living life on the road.

His mission is simple: to make America’s trucking industry healthier, one driver at a time.

As one of the newest Ambassadors for The Noakes Foundation, Brandon brings not only his personal experience but also an unwavering passion for education, critical thinking, and empowering people to take ownership of their health.

We recently sat down with Brandon to learn more about his journey.
Please introduce yourself and tell us a little about your background.
  • My name is Brandon Fowler, and I reside in Texas, USA. I am a full-time over-the-road truck driver with close to 10 years of experience behind the wheel and a certified Nutritional Health and Wellness Coach specializing in ketogenic nutrition, focusing on making the transportation industry in the United States healthier.
What inspired you to pursue your work in health, nutrition, medicine, science, or wellness?
  • What inspired me was my own declining health. I weighed 300 lbs (136 kg), and my health was rapidly deteriorating. I knew I had to do something, so I dove into nutrition and human physiology.
  • I lost 100 lbs (45 kg) in just four months and found the solution that worked for me. A health coach noticed me holding my own in online discussions about nutrition and reached out to tell me about health coaching. I went on to earn my coaching certification and complete multiple Nutrition Network courses. The rest is history.
Was there a defining moment that changed your perspective on nutrition or metabolic health?
  • The defining moment came when I started seeing just how unhealthy many other truck drivers had become, and how quickly I was heading in the same direction. I was terrified that I was going to die out on the road, away from my friends and family. That fear changed everything.
What are you most passionate about in your work today?
  • My passion is simply trying to learn more today than I did yesterday. I have a thirst for knowledge that has yet to be quenched, if it ever can be.
Why did you choose to become an Ambassador for The Noakes Foundation?
  • I was invited to become an Ambassador, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity.
What do you believe is the biggest challenge facing public health today?
  • People rely too much on “experts” instead of taking the time to learn and understand for themselves.
What advice would you give someone who wants to improve their health but feels overwhelmed?
  • Start slow, but start.
Is there a common nutrition myth you wish people would stop believing?
  • That calories are the most important thing and that carbohydrates are necessary.
What exciting projects are you currently working on?

I’m currently working on two exciting projects.

  • Farm to Freight is a route-based mapping system designed to help truck drivers find nutrient-dense foods while traveling.
  • NaviDexus is a platform that helps decode scientific studies so people can better understand what they’re reading.
If you could leave our readers with one message, what would it be?
  • Choose yourself for once.

At The Noakes Foundation, we believe that real change begins with ordinary people making extraordinary decisions. Brandon’s story is a powerful reminder that no matter your profession, your schedule, or the obstacles you face, it is never too late to take control of your health.

His journey from fearing for his life on the open road to helping others transform theirs embodies exactly what it means to be a Noakes Foundation Ambassador.

We are incredibly proud to welcome Brandon Fowler to our Ambassador family and look forward to seeing the impact he will continue to make within the trucking industry and beyond.

Welcome to The Noakes Foundation, Brandon!
