Junior Administration and Communications Executive

The Noakes Foundation seeks to appoint a Junior Administration & Communications Executive. This role is to support the overall administration of the Foundation and work closely with some of the senior team members.

Role responsibilities include:

• Support general administration of the business
• Responding to social media and email enquiries
• Social media and marketing support – campaign planning and execution, compiling newsletters, blog management
• Supporting ad hoc website updates
• Manage diaries, travel and speaking engagements for the senior team
• Diary management of COO and Prof Tim Noakes
• Support events planning, accounting, and administration
• Attend key team and other meetings and take and distribute minutes and actions to the team involved
• Manage books, product samples and general stock take and control of Foundation material and assets
• Support with the general smooth running of the Foundation including communications with our interns and other staff
• Support staff with administrative tasks
• Answering client queries

Required attributes:

• Two or more years experience as a PA or communications Exec in a busy office
• Proficient in MS Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, Canva and social media platforms
• Skillfully anticipate and proactively provide top class administrative and HR support where needed
• Strong relational and communication skills (phone and email)
• Proactive and eagerness to learn
• Good command of English and possibly one other language
• Ability to see the big picture and understand/talk about nutrition, health and the medical sector
• A willingness to learn about nutrition and the low carb lifestyle, and to complete online training
• Discretion and confidentiality
• Articulate, professional and courteous at all times
• Good writing and copy editing skills

Role start date: Immediately

Salary: Negotiable

Place of work: Cape Town: Office & remotely

Terms: 1 year contract subject to a three month trial period
