Can a dietary change cause hair loss?

On this edition of the Prof Noakes Podcast, Brad Brown chats to Prof Noakes regarding an interesting question. Dorothy says she’s been banting for just over a year now and loves the lifestyle. However, she’s experienced hair loss and wondering if a dietary change could affect the thyroid?  She was following the blood group diet but finds that the foods she increased for the banting diet, like cauliflower, avo more eggs than before and pork, are listed as being possibly bad for the type O-group people because they induce hypothyroidism. Is that fact, and what can she do to replace these foods? She also wants to know what can be done for her hair loss? Go to the Banting Facebook page to find out if other banters have experienced the same problem https://www.facebook.com/groups/Banting7DayMealPlans/ .
